I read few months ago an interesting article about "Britain's best destinations for film lovers", in which are shown 20 different spots across UK, where famous films were recorded (from Shakespeare in love to Charriots of fire).

Of course, if you visit cities such as London, New York, or Paris, their streets might be familiar to almost everyone, as there have been hundreds of films made in those cities, but in this article, some of those kind of hidden places not easy to discover by yourself.

Few years ago, I visited the beaches of Normandie, in France, and me and my friends will always remember that day as the day we took real consciousness about the II World War.

VALENCIA, in Lonely Planet’s top 10 cities for 2011.

Lonely Planet has included Valencia, the 3rd Spanish city, in the top 10 rank of cities to visit for 2011, in the 5th position.

It's worth to say, the city of Valencia, has focused it's policy to become a top touristic spot since it was chosen to host the 32nd America's Cup sailing race, in 2007. Few years after that, the city also started hosting a F-1 urban race inside the city.

Despite that, Valencia had always been attractive for spanish and european people because it's citizens open behavior, nice weather, good food (paella is an originary dish from Valencia's region) and widely known Fallas (a festival taking place in March, where paper made sculptures are burnt).

Modern amazing buildings and areas such as the marina (a leisure port), or the "City of Arts & Sciences", combined with it's historical centre, and the old river bed, regenerated in the eighties as a linear park crossing the city, are in a short description, the main characteristics of this sunny mediterranean city in the east of Spain.

I must say, I am proud of writting about Valencia, as I have been living by 10 years over there, and I keep great memories of that city. I will write soon my "personal guide" of Valencia, where I will include my recommendations about places to visit, where to eat (cheap and good), where to go out by night, etcetera, so don't miss it!

Ibiza for foreigners.

THAT'S WHAT I THINK ABOUT SOME THINGS YOU MAY WANT TO KNOW AFTER ONE YEAR LIVING THERE.


Well, of course a month in a mediterranean island is more than ideal... but 3-5 days, could be enough to have a good view. Best time to visit Ibiza? It depends... To see the island (wonderful beaches, relaxed atmosphere...) and don't find crowded beaches, traffic jams... avoid the end of july and august.

about clubs... ibiza is the clubbing island... there are 3 or 4 really big clubs (PACHA, SPACE, PRIVILEGE, AMNESIA), and other smaller ones. Those big ones, are quite expensives (around 50 euros). Then, there are other kind of places beach bars, etc... which are better for me, and a little bit cheapers... but also expensive! (here in ibiza life is not cheap!)

Even if I'm living here, I'm not an expert on DJs music... perhaps it sounds strange?? hehehe

I like music played on clubs to go from time to time to dance, and not much more about that movement!

About club tickets, it's not a real truth that it's cheaper for residents or things like that. Just if you
know somebody working there, it's possible that they let you go in, otherwise, that's a pity but we are
like others! :(

Most beautiful beach? what a question! The island of Ibiza, is, first of all, a paradisiac mediterranean island plenty of small beaches with forests between following all the shoreline. There are few "urban" beaches.

Best ones, I would say this 4, for example: "cala saladeta", "platges de comte", "cala d'hort", "cala llenya"... you can check it in google earth...

Well, the city of Ibiza ("Eivissa" in catalan, the local language) is the biggest one and is somehow the
main city. It's around 40000 citizens during the year, and it's connected to the airport, which is 20 minutes by bus from the city centre. You have buses in both directions each 30 minutes from 7am to 11pm (aprox).

Is the city where is located the main bussiness, commercial and leisure activities during the year.

The second city of the island, San Antonio (Sant Antoni de Portmany) is more quiet during the year, but in summer it's plenty of people and it has the same or even more actitity than Ibiza.

The city of San Antonio, and "Playa d'en Bossa" (a beach town close to the city of Ibiza), are the main tourist areas in summer. You can find hundreds of places to drink, eat, buy al stuff u can imagine, and of, course, thousands of people from all over the world (specially from italy,UK & german).
